Why OneCircuCare
Hospitals are building everywhere: new wings, new towers, new hospitals. I have built for twenty years myself, so I do not say this as an outsider: a building solves nothing if the processes inside it stay the same. The real question is not what we put up, but how the work flows. That is why OneCircuCare is designed for the building that is already there; those who build new take it along from the first drawing.
Every department in a hospital works: procurement, logistics, nursing, hygiene. Only the interplay between them is nobody's job. That is where nursing time, materials and money leak away every day, without anyone seeing exactly where. What I learned in all those years: the gain is not in the next separate purchase, but in what happens between the departments.
OneCircuCare connects what is already there, from procurement to hygiene, into one chain owned by the hospital itself, with no supplier in between. What is new is the way back: what now leaves the building after use returns clean into the chain. Sustainability is not a separate programme there but a consequence of the design. Arranged so that care staff get their time back for the work they chose. And I saw the same thing every time: where processes flow into each other without a seam, renewal comes by itself; not as a project, but as a consequence.
What is needed at the bedside is decided by the people who stand there: safe and hygienic first, without compromise. The hospital writes the requirements for what it uses; manufacturers make what meets them, with the user at the table instead of at a distance.
What the departments share is the back of the house: the flows that run through the whole building and that nobody owns today. Decisions about care, and about the requirements for what it uses, stay with the hospital, as they always have.
